You can type suggestions for this wikiweb program on here. You can view the Source Code (PHP) to see how it works, and copy it to your own web site if you want to, and you can make more suggestions for the program on here.
Great wiki! Functional, simple looking and easy instalation! =) But, could you make a "MediaWiki-looking" version? I mean, there's a number of things from the Wikipedia software that I miss on ZzoWiki, but the main thing would be an "Edit this page" link. I know that ZzoWiki doesn't have them to prevent vandalism, but some people (including me!) may preffer it that way... I think that it wouldn't be too difficult to create this link. Or, you could just teach us on how to add the link. =)

Open "wiki.php" and find were you want the link (top or botom), and type this in:
<?php echo "<a href=/wiki$wpage\$>Edit this page</a>"; ?>
Great ZzoWiki! What about a French translation? ;-) Gab
I am not French, but people that use this program on a French web-site can easily translate it to French if they need to.
a1. Show links with spaces, but omit the spaces from the linked url. (I do not completly understand. Maybe if you give me an example) Example: the home page has a link to this page which puts a space either side of "For" in the url. Some browsers do not replace this space with "%20", and so one is taken to the "suggestions" page, which doesn't exist.
a2. For the editing textarea, include wrap=soft as an extra parameter. (OK I did that, but I don't notice any difference.) Thanks. That does help for some browsers.
3. For fixed width font, generate just <tt>...</tt>, without preceding line break.
4. Add syntax for generating indented text, numbered lists and bullet point lists.
a5. Change the "FILE SAVED OK" page to include a link to the edited page. (OK, I fixed this part) Thanks.
a6. Detect edit conflict, and refuse to save if conflict detected. (I think this works now) Thanks. It certainly detects conflict, but the content of the conflict detection page baffles me. The second box was blank, and its purpose is unclear. You could also change "Curent" to "Current" and "Yors" to "Yours" if you use these in the headings. Also, note that (a) if one uses the browser's "Back" function to return to the editing page, and then clicks on the "Save" button, that is seen as an edit conflict situation, and (b) the generated html for the conflict detection page does not work correctly in some browsers (the page text is shown, but there are no editing boxes). (The secend box is blank? That must be a bug. You can look at the sorce-code see wat rong)
Is it normal that I cannot install/use ZzoWiki in my webspace ? Check here : http://chabel.epsylon.org/wiki2/
The .htaccess isn't active. Can you explain more in details how to run this php script ?
>>> I don't know if this will help, but take a look at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html. -- Ensjo, from Brazil.
Suggestions:
1. Change the lines...
<title>ZZO38COMPUTER -- Wiki -- <?php echo $wpage; ?></title>
...into...
<head>
<title>ZZO38COMPUTER -- Wiki -- <?php echo $wpage ?></title>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
</head>
This allows entering Unicode characters (greek, arabian, chinese, etc.). Otherwise one is limited to 256 characters. :-/
I've done it here, take a look.
2. Next, there should be a way to use those Unicode characters [and others, such as space and apostrophe (')] in the page name -- even if these characters are not allowed as file names by the operating system. Maybe by using the very codes used for URLs: "%20" for space, "%27" for the apostrophe, etc.
A page called "My CD's" could be stored in a file called "My%20CD%27s", for instance. (Check http://br.php.net/manual/en/function.urlencode.php.) -- Ensjo, from Brazil.
Thanks. I have seen what you did, and I will correct and repackage it for downloading. I will fix that when I get home, and I have time. I will be home on the weekend, hopefully I will have time to fix it. (Although, there are still a few bugs in your "fixed" version of it, hopefully I will correct those as well and you can install the new version.) The new versions will now contain version numbers. You can check for when I put a version number on my main page of this wikiweb, then you know it is fixed. -- zzo38
I have fixed it on this site, but not zipped yet. Maybe later I will zip it. O NO, It doesn't seem to work. I will correct it later, I have other thing to do now -- zzo38
